Reminder: "praying effectively" involves knowing God's will. When we pray in His will (in His name), He may choose to not answer those prayers in the time period that we would like, or HOW we would like - but He will answer those prayers!
It is God's will:
- that we take a day of rest one day a week to honor and focus on God (19:30)
- that we honor God's sanctuary and respect the Church (19:30)
Today's prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for giving us a day of rest, and that You insist that we should take a day to rest. May we use that day to focus on You, and to bring You glory, honor and praise.
Help us to respect Your Church, and teach our children to respect Your Church by being an example of how we should be doing that - not just the church building itself, but the church family as well.
Help us to fellowship with one another in Your love, as You are our heavenly Father. Lord, You know that Your children can be dysfunctional, but thank You that You faithfully keep patiently guiding us towards being a family of love, unity and peace. Amen.
