praying effectively: Do Not Be Racist (Deut.23)

(Deuteronomy 23:7)  “You shall not detest an Edomite, for he is your brother; you shall not detest an Egyptian, because you were an alien in his land."

Reminder:  "praying effectively" involves knowing God's will.  When we pray in His will (in His name), He may choose to not answer those prayers in the time period that we would like, or HOW we would like - but He will answer those prayers!

It is God's will:  that we are not racist

Today's prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus, You know that we can be such hateful people towards anyone for whatever reason.  Help us to LOVE!!!  Help us to love everyone because You love everyone!  Help us to remember that You came to die for everyone!

Give us insight and courage when we see injustices happening in order to step up and defend the victim/s.  Protect us and the victim/s - and help us not to fear what man can do - when we do the appropriate thing in each moment.  I pray that these efforts will not go unnoticed in revealing and spreading Your light and love.  Amen.
