11 Sing praises to the Lord, who dwells in Zion; declare among the peoples His deeds.
12 For He who requires blood remembers them; He does not forget the cry of the afflicted.
13 Be gracious to me, O Lord; see my affliction from those who hate me, You who lift me up from the gates of death,
14 That I may tell of all Your praises, that in the gates of the daughter of Zion I may rejoice in Your salvation.
Reminder: "praying effectively" involves knowing God's will. When we pray in His will (in His name), He may choose to not answer those prayers in the time period that we would like, or HOW we would like - but He will answer those prayers!
It is God's will:
- that we sing praises to the Lord (9:11)
- that we declare what the Lord does and has done (9:11, 14)
- that we rejoice in our salvation (9:14)
Today's prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You so much for saving me, and keeping my salvation safe for all eternity!!! For making salvation possible. Without You - there would be no salvation.
Where there is sin - there is death! Blood is required! And You willingly died on that cross, in our place, to shed Your blood - Your perfect blood - which has the power to pay for and cover all sin. And You give Your priceless gift of salvation - which cannot be earned - to anyone who humbles themselves and believes! And even when Your children continue to sin, we can still cry out to You for reconciliation, and You hear us and help us!
Provide the songs that we may sing to tell the world about You. Provide the songs that we may sing to continue praising You for all the wonderful things that You have done and do for us! Amen.
