The earth is the Lord’s, and [a]all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it.
2 For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.
3 Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? And who may stand in His holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood and has not sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive a blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face—even Jacob. Selah.

7 Lift up your heads, O gates, and be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in!
8 Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O gates, and lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in!
10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah.

Reminder: "praying effectively" involves knowing God's will. When we pray in His will (in His name), He may choose to not answer those prayers in the time period that we would like, or HOW we would like - but He will answer those prayers!
It is God's will:
- that we have clean hands and a pure heart (24:4)
- that we do not live a life based on lies (24:4)
- that we seek the Lord and open our hearts to have a personal relationship with Him (24:6-7, 9)
- that the Israelites seek the Lord and open their hearts to have a personal relationship with Him (24:6-7, 9)
Today's prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You that we can have such a close, personal relationship with You. You know us better than anyone. You know us better than we know ourselves. You know EVERYTHING about us - and yet - You STILL want us to be close to You.
Because You are holy, Your children of God must have clean hands and a clean heart... Thank You for providing Your salvation to make that possible... Thank You for Your forgiveness to cleanse our hearts... Thank You for Your righteousness to cleanse our lives... May Your truths be evident in us as a testimony and a light to our neighbors and the world - especially to Your chosen ones, the Israelites.
Thank You that we can know - You have not forgotten Your promises to Israel. Let us keep them in our prayers - knowing that You are faithful and that all things are possible with You! Amen.
