praying effectively: the Lord Will Avenge (Deut.32)

(Deuteronomy 32...)
35 Vengeance is Mine, and retribution, in due time their foot will slip; for the day of their calamity is near, and the impending things are hastening upon them.’
36 For the Lord will vindicate His people, and will have compassion on His servants, when He sees that their strength is gone, and there is none remaining, bond or free...
43 Rejoice, O nationswith His people; for He will avenge the blood of His servants, and will render vengeance on His adversaries, and will atone for His land and His people.”

Reminder:  "praying effectively" involves knowing God's will.  When we pray in His will (in His name), He may choose to not answer those prayers in the time period that we would like, or HOW we would like - but He will answer those prayers!

It is God's will:
- that God will avenge His children and will be their strength
- that God will make sure Israel will have their land as promised (one day)
- that we rejoice because God will avenge His children

Today's prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You so much that You will bring justice upon the earth one day which will put everything right - for all Your children and especially for the nation of Israel, Your chosen ones.

I'm most grateful that our sufferings as well as the struggles of Israel do not go unnoticed.  You give us both strength and hope.  May we all find rest in that.  Amen.
