(Revelation 1:1-3) The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John, 2 who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.
Reminder:
"praying effectively" involves knowing God's will. When we pray in His will (in His name), He
may choose to not answer those prayers in the time period that we would like,
or HOW we would like - but He will answer those prayers!
It is God's will:
- that we read, hear and heed God's words, even the prophecies of the book of Revelation (1:3)
Today's prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for giving us Your word of truth. Thank You that You keep Your promises. As we have seen You fulfill all past prophecies, we can know with confidence that You will fulfill the few prophecies still to come.
We can also know with confidence that You will bless us as we read, hear and heed Your word. Give us wisdom in understanding the scriptures, so that we may accurately apply them to our lives. All to Your glory, amen.
