JESUS Our Hope (Joel 3)

At Jesus's second coming, after the battle of Armageddon, Jesus will separate the nations and judge them, separating them...

(Joel 3:1-2)  “For behold, in those days and at that time,
When I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,
I will gather all the nations
And bring them down to the valley of Ehoshaphat.
Then I will enter into judgment with them there
On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel,
Whom they have scattered among the nations;
And they have divided up My land..."

Taking all people who became believers during the Tribulation into the Millennium, Jesus will restore the land, and sit on His throne in Jerusalem and fulfill the covenants made with the Israelites...

(Joel 3:16-17)  The Lord roars from Zion
And utters His voice from Jerusalem,
And the heavens and the earth tremble.
But the Lord is a refuge for His people
And a stronghold to the sons of Israel.
17 Then you will know that I am the Lord your God,
Dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain.
So Jerusalem will be holy,
And strangers will pass through it no more.

Of course, God loves the world - all people.  So the "strangers" being referred to here would be people who do not respect God and His people.  Again, all people going into the Millennium will be believers.  But they will have children, then they will have children, etc.for the thousand years.  Those people being born into the Millennium will have to choose to believe in God or not.  But because Jesus is right there, to advise people, talk with people, guide people, made decisions over issues... everyone on earth with know exactly who He is and live in obedience (whether they are Christians or not)... until the Last Battle, and the White Throne Judgement.

Interesting how God deals with man through different "phases" or ages.  We now have the privilege of looking back over many ages to really study this.  Yet people will say things like, "If only God would let us figure it out on our own."  Yeah, He's allowed that.  "If only God would tell us what's going to happen ahead of time."  Ah, yep.  "If only I could see God face to face."  Yes, He's done that!!!

In every age, God is visible and working and available.  God desires that all of us become children of God.  He desires a close relationship with all of us, and no matter where we are in time, we have this message of hope...

(Ephesians 1:9-14)  He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him 10 with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that isthe summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. In Him 11 also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will, 12 to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory. 13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,14 who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.
