At the right time (at the end of the seven years) - when all people who will become believers have done so - it will then be time to remove all unbelievers from the earth...
(Revelation 14:14-20) Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud was one like a son of man, having a golden crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying out with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, “Put in your sickle and reap, for the hour to reap has come, because the harvest of the earth is ripe.” 16 Then He who sat on the cloud swung His sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped.
17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, and he also had a sharp sickle. 18 Then another angel, the one who has power over fire, came out from the altar; and he called with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, “Put in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, because her grapes are ripe.” 19 So the angel swung his sickle to the earth and gathered the clusters from the vine of the earth, and threw them into the great wine press of the wrath of God. 20 And the wine press was trodden outside the city, and blood came out from the wine press, up to the horses’ bridles, for a distance of two hundred miles.
From this we see:
- there is at least one angel who has power over fire (14:18)
- an angel will make an announcement when it is time for the battle of Armageddon, when all unbelievers will be removed from the earth (14:15)
- an angel will make an announcement to other angels to help remove unbelievers from the earth during the battle of Armageddon (14:17-19)
Personal experience: this is not only the harvest and reaper allegory about the battle of Armageddon, this is also when the second coming of Jesus will happen.
I've seen people get these scriptures regarding the second coming mixed up with the rapture.
The above scripture is not the rapture when Christians are caught up to meet Jesus in the air and be taken to heaven. This is at His second coming (to earth), when during or after the battle of Armageddon, Jesus has everyone gathered together and He separates the sheep from the goats. Then all sinners are removed from the earth. Jesus then stays on the earth with all believers for a thousand years to set up the Millennial kingdom.
Either way - one has to be "ready" - whether for the rapture or for the second coming,
Today's takeaway: one could wonder why an angel gets a message from God and then has to come out and announce to Jesus (the Son of Man) that it is time! But - remember what Jesus told His disciples when they asked Him when He would return to set up the Millennial kingdom and fulfill all the Israelites' covenants...
(Matthew 24:36-42) “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. 37 For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. 38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one [will be left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left. 42 “Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming.
(Romans 10:1-21) Brethren, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation. 2 For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge. 3 For not knowing about God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

(Romans 11:1-27) I say then, God has not rejected His people, has He? May it never be! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. “God gave them a spirit of stupor, Eyes to see not and ears to hear not, Down to this very day.”
9 And David says,
“Let their table become a snare and a trap, And a stumbling block and a retribution to them.
10 “Let their eyes be darkened to see not, And bend their backs forever.”

17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree, 18 do not be arrogant toward the branches; but if you are arrogant, remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root supports you. 19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” 20 Quite right, they were broken off for their unbelief, but you stand by your faith. Do not be conceited, but fear; 21 for if God did not spare the natural branches, He will not spare you, either. 22 Behold then the kindness and severity of God; to those who fell, severity, but to you, God’s kindness, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off. 23 And they also, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. 24 For if you were cut off from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these who are the natural branches be grafted into their own olive tree?
25 For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery—so that you will not be wise in your own estimation—that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; 26 and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written,
“The Deliverer will come from Zion, He will remove ungodliness from Jacob.”
