praying effectively: Love One Another (1Peter 1:22-25)

(1 Peter 1:22-25)  Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart, 23 for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God. 24 For,

All flesh is like grass,
And all its glory like the flower of grass.
The grass withers,
And the flower falls off,
25 But the word of the Lord endures forever.”
And this is the word which was preached to you.

Reminder:  "praying effectively" involves knowing God's will.  When we pray in His will (in His name), He may choose to not answer those prayers in the time period that we would like, or HOW we would like - but He will answer those prayers!

It is God's will:
- that we fervently, sincerely love our fellow believers (1:22)

Today's prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for Your enduring word.  Thank You for everlasting life.  Thank You for Your love.  Your love never fails!  Let us confess any sins which interfere with Your love and Your guidance.  May Your love infiltrate our lives and reach out to those around us.  May Your sincere love be our motive in all that we say and do.  All to Your glory, amen.
