“Let the name of God be blessed forever and ever, for wisdom and power belong to Him.
21 “It is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men and knowledge to men of understanding.
22 “It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him.
23 “To You, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, for You have given me wisdom and power; even now You have made known to me what we requested of You, for You have made known to us the king’s matter.”

Reminder: "praying effectively" involves knowing God's will. When we pray in His will (in His name), He may choose to not answer those prayers in the time period that we would like, or HOW we would like - but He will answer those prayers!
It is God's will: that we let God's name be blessed (2:20)
Today's prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, we bless You! We bless Your holy name! We praise You and thank You, that You oversee everything, and are in control - even while You give each of us free will - Your promises will be fulfilled in Your perfect timing. You have the ultimate victory, with justice and love in mind.

Give us understanding so we can know better how to pray in Your will. Give us Your patience, so we can wait on Your answer/s. Strengthen us in Your wisdom and power so You can use us in mighty ways when the opportunities arise. Help our faith to keep growing, trusting in You for all things, and keeping Your love at the heart of all things. Amen.
