praying effectively: Be Clothed in Righteousness (Rev.16:15)

(Revelation 16:15-16)  (“Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothesso that he will not walk about naked and men will not see his shame.”)

Reminder:  "praying effectively" involves knowing God's will.  When we pray in His will (in His name), He may choose to not answer those prayers in the time period that we would like, or HOW we would like - but He will answer those prayers!

It is God's will:
- that we are believers before we die or before the rapture and Tribulation occurs (16:15)

Today's prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for being fair and just.  And thank You for making salvation possible.  Help people realize their need for You, and help them to realize that it should be now.  There are no signs leading up to the rapture.  As You say - You are coming as a thief who gives no warning!

There will be signs for Your second coming, which will wrap up the Jewish Age, and those signs will be the judgments described in Revelation.  Give us wisdom to understand the scriptures so that we may interpret Your word with accuracy.  Give us understanding so that we will only fear You, and not fear anyone or anything else.

Help us to stay focused on You!  Equip us and strengthen us to do Your will.  All to Your glory, amen.
